Removing "Powered by.." - how much?

I don't want to remove "Powered by OpenCart", it's adding to authenticity and reputation to my business blogs. What's the point then?

Hi, I can do it, it's very easy.

there is a file called footer.tpl (tpl is a template for php). This file is inside catalog/view/theme/default/template/common

I put the follow line. I do a comment where say $powered and wrote "My name".

<div id="powered"><?php echo "My name";//$powered; ?></div>

I think it is fair to donate to this wonderful script (to Daniel), but after donating I prefer removing the "Powered by" from the emails and even from the footer.

That's why I have created A simple way of removing the "Powered by" - install my simple plugin:

It removes the "Powered by" from the footer and from the emails the customer get after purchasing anything from the store.



It is VQMod so just drop the file into the VQMod directory.

Yes, people at least in admin you should leave that untouched... why are you so bad (I have a better word {F)?
You might remove it from homepage - but even then as a way of respect to Opencart people -- I would suggest you leave it there to show magento etc that we FSU (be creative on this).

This is not a good practice of removing keywords "powered by". I mean, we should have a big heart and give credit to whom that deserves.

why would you feel offended by leaving opencart in your footer? look at the bottom of this page and you'll see powered by phpBB and I bet you don't even notice it. Always show respect for the people who help you.
