google base, i see on the open cart that it has an option under product feeds called google base!! im logged into google base and and just dazed at what i need to do.
i can see it asks for a data feed? is this the one on the product feed page on open cart?
if so, do i click this option. I want to use Google Spreadsheet to store, edit and upload my feed. Learn more
what does this then do... and do i use that to upload and edit items or the catelogue/products option on open cart..

Google base or merchant (originally called Froogle) lists your products on the Google Shopping search engine. For example, here is one of my stores on it https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&tbm ... egance.com
The google base feed that comes with opencart doesn't work fully as google has changed a number of its requirements - I recommend the extension by UKSB in the extensions store or one of the others available
Once you register with google merchant, use schedule a fetch to get the xml file the extension will give you the url for to automatically keep your products up to date.
You can also use the same feed to submit to The Find and other shopping search engines (also called shopping comparison sites).

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.
thanks for the info. i build my shop throught the application on 1and1.co.uk and i dont think you can use extensions.
so it is not a product feed that enables you to update your stock for the opencart site then?
