Did you copy the database too?

Is the user and password for the database still the same?

Did you edit the config files to reflect database/folder changes?

Yes I copied the database

Yes the username and password for the database are the same

Yes I have edited the config files to reflect database/folder changes. I have edited the file named 'config' located in C:\xampp\htdocs\opencart_v1.3.0\opencart_v1.3.0\upload\config.php are there any other files I must modify perhaps?

Did you open phpmyadmin or whatever database manager you may be using and copy the database over? Are you sure the database names are the same? The same database users? If you moved to another computer you should really check that first, and also you need to Not use root as the database user.

Edit C:\xampp\htdocs\opencart_v1.3.0\opencart_v1.3.0\upload\admin\config.php too.

I don't think it'll solve the problem; but it also needs to be changed.

well actually root is the database user (which i just found out) so i modified the config files to correct that and now i get this error;

Code: Select all

Error: Table 'outboard.setting' doesn't exist
Error No: 1146
SELECT * FROM setting

Change it; you don't want root as the user.
