(cross-posted from the general support, newb who didn't realise there was a separate shipping section...)
Hi-ho,

Using OpeCart with a prototype site, will update to 1.5.2 when my theme supports it (shoppica). It's my first OC site and it's looking really good so far.

I'm looking for some guidance in setting up shipping which is my last technical hitch.

We have a range of products that are wooden profiles and shapes which we ship via three sizes of courier bag depending on the largest item size in the cart. Weight is not a factor.

Ideally what I'd like to be able to do is select a 'bag' size per product, and when a customer picks more than one product it picks the largest bag size for the products selected.

I searched through the extensions but couldn't see anything that talked about dimensions to determine shipping...

Any suggestions on a module to use?

Thanks. Chris H.

I have a Volume-Based Shipping extension that might work, which calculates the total volume of the cart and then allows you to set cost brackets based on that. You wouldn't need the volume-calculation, but it also lets you limit set minimum and maximum values for Length, Width, and Height of individual products in that rate.

What you would do is set the Length, Width, and Height restrictions to your minimum and maximum product size, then set a single high cost bracket like From: 0, To: 999999, Charge: 10.00. Feel free to try out the demo and see if it would work for you.
