I've tried to install a multy store shop. I have 1 general domein called http://www.webshop1.nl this is going to be the main shop.

with that i've got another domain. http://www.webshop2.nl

ive redirected this domain to http://www.webshop1.nl since the site is in the root of this domain.

now when i visit http://www.webshop2.nl i won't land on the webshop2.nl page, but on the webshop1.nl domain.

I've created a new shop with the url http://www.webshop2.nl/

Can anyone help me with this issue? been searching the forum but couldn't find a working answer.

(my server doesn't have direct admin but PLESK control panel)

Have you set your second store's "Store URL" to "http://www.webshop2.nl/"? Don't forget to include the "http://" in front and the "/" at the end.

Please use proper English at all times, so that all members may understand you.

You don't want to redirect the domain, you want to set it's document root. I have no idea what PLESK is, but you could probably contact your webhosts and tell them you need to set the document root for http://www.webshop2.nl to use the document folder for http://www.webshop1.nl or whatever folder you have installed opencart in.

Running Opencart v3.0.3.9 with multi-stores and the default template from https://www.labeshops.com which has links to all my stores.

Plesk is a Royal PITA

You will need to edit the second domain vhost.conf or httpd.include file to change the root directory to that of your main domain.

Many articles on this on the plesk forums

okay,

problem solved. Below the solution for your Plesk multi store issue.

Create a domain in plesk 10.2.0 on a customer account.

then go to the control panel of the new added domain (this will be the domain where your main store is running)

Your main domain: http://www.webshop1.com this domain redicects automatically to httpdocs on the server.

Now add a second domain insite the domains control panel. Choose create physical hosting and redirect the domain to the folder httpdocs/ on your server.

Now the new added domain http://www.webshop2.com is created within the control panel of http://www.webshop1.com and pointed to the httpdocs folder of http://www.webshop1.com

This worked for me!

Is there a way to do it within Plesk 9? I am running Plesk 9.5.3. I tried adding a subdomain but when I use a symbolic link to point it back to the httpdocs directory it gives me permissions errors. Then I added a domain alias for the subdomain and it appears to work in http:// but not in https://. That could be because I need a wildcard SSL, but not sure if this is the correct way to set it up. All of the instructions I have found apply to cPanel.

Thanks!

u don't know weither it's possible to do this in Plesk 9. Maybe you can contact your hosting provider? Or suggest an upgrade to 10?

There is a much easier way to do this in Plesk 9 & 10...

1. Set up Main Domain in plesk control panel.
2. Once domain is set, click Domain Aliases, and add 2nd, 3rd ,4th domain names into there.

Job done, all domain will resolve to the same domain space, and multi-store works very well. (I know as im running 4 stores like this).

When I follow these two steps In Plesk 8, then a folder "subdomains with the subfolders shop1, shop2" is created in the root directory. So there are of course several folders in the root: hhttpdocs, httpsdocs. etc
So the solution doesn't work in Plesk 8. Is there a workaround?

OpenCart 1.5.4.1 in a multishop configuration (as theme Shoppica2) with a lot of vqmods and further improvements . The last months I am busy with an OC 3.0.3.2 configuration (and now without the Stoppica 2 theme).
