USPS Shipping Moduel Not Working

Hi, I have just installed the new version of Open Cart Version 1.5.1.3

The default USPS shipping module is what I am using. I signed up with the USPS Shipping API (https://secure.shippingapis.com/registration/) and was emailed a username and password

In the USPS Shippign Module in OpenCart, I entered the username that was assigned to me by USPS API, I even copied and pasted the username to make sure that this was indeed correct.

Then I picked various shipping methods, no international options, for Machinable I chose yes,

Then I get to Dimensions (L x W x H): option. I personally do not see any reason for this, so I just put 16, 16, 16
The API should calculate the shipping and this option does not make any sense.

For Girth I put 10

Both of these options confuse me because I will be shipping products that may be lower and higher than what I put here. I sell Consumer Electronics so the range is always different.

For the weight class I chose Pounds

The GEO Zone I chose my custom United States which includes all US states

And sort order 1

Debug mode is off.

This is something that has to be working and accurate because if this does not work, then no orders can be processed, and if this is not accurate, I may loose money off shipping.

So can anyone help me get this working, or direct me to a Extension that does work. I have to use USPS.

I have called USPS and my API account has been moved to a production server.

When I tried to place an order with my other account on my store, the shipping was not calculating. The USPS shipping calculator to even give me an estimated shipping of any kind.

When I asked them when the api changes will take into effect, they assured me immediately.

I do not understand why this usps api has to be such a pain. I do not understand why this can not be as simply as entering the fields required for the USPS Shipping Module and then it would.........um.......WORK!

Has anyone been able to see their USPS Shipping module work after being moved to a production server?

One other thing I do not understand with the USPS shipping API, I see the fields want an average shipping shipping dimensions and girth. Why does this field even matter at all?
I sell consumer electronics and my products do vary from size from a battery to a tv so why would an average dimension even matter and the girth is something that does not make any sense.

Those fields should be removed and after speaking with USPS they did not know why that was added because they do not even know why they would need it.

The API calculates based off of shipping dimensions, weight, and customer shipping address, why then would the average and girth even need to be added, it actually may be a cause of the USPS shipping module not working.

But we need to figure this out and help people that are also having the same issue.

I just called USPS back and they said that this issue is an OpenCart issue, because on there end I am on the Production server.

I have also tried replacing some php code according to this thread: http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 37#p237915 This did not help, I changed it back.

So the issue is with Open cart
