Need Help Changing Allowable Size of LOGO.JPG

I know how to change width of logo.jpg, and it works fine.
But I do not know where to look to change the Height Setting so I can insert a large, taller graphic.
Simply changing the Height of the logo.jpg does not work if I create a logo.jpg taller than it is by default.
What document do I need to edit, showing path please, to allow for a taller graphic in the header?
