Hi,
I am a new user of OC and installed version 1.5.1.3

When I add a product to my category group and want to click on it in the front shop, I get the error:
Error: Unknown column 'sort_order' in 'order clause'
Error No: 1054
SELECT * FROM product_image WHERE product_id = '50' ORDER BY sort_order ASC in /home/johanhm8/domains/mudoto.nl/public_html/system/database/mysql.php on line 49

site is: http://www.mudoto.nl

Can anyone help me to explain what this error means and how I can solve it?

Many thanks in advance!
Kind Regards,
Johanna

This is a first that a heard of this error with a new install.
You are sure it is not an update?

looking at your store I see a new store so I suggest a clean install again.

Are you using Multistore?

Hi,
thank you for your reaction.

Yes it is a new installation.
I installed it via Installatron at my Admin dashboard of hoster (Versio).
So I assume it is a new installation instead of a upgrade.

A clean install, will I lose al my data I editet before like the stylesheet?
And how do I do that, make a back-up, delete everything and than e new install?

It is not only at my shop, also the shop I am making for a client: http://www.manonbijoux.nl
I am sure I did something wrong... but what????

EDIT: now also when I want to edit and add new options for a products (catalog>options>size>edit>add option), I get the same error.
So I guess I have a problem with my database connection? but...how do I solve it ??? :(

Kind Regards,

This is a first that a heard of this error with a new install.
This issue may occur when using generic PHP installation files which some server may take more time to respond but the installation has no delay in time for inserting the fields which could cause this problematic unfortunately and has been seen elsewhere.

The best solution in this case since it's a fresh installation would be to upload the install/opencart.sql file straight into PHPMyAdmin by hoping the config.php and admin/config.php files has already been created after your last installation. This should definitely resolve the problem.

Hi,
sorry for the late reaction. have been ill.

I uploaded the file opencart.sql using PHPMyAdmin straight into public_html : no result :(
after that I uploaded it the same way straight into publict_html > system > database : also no result.

Am I uploading it to the right direction?????
Where should I upload it?

I deleted the whole folder "Install" after installing OC because the dashboard told me to....

What is the problem..... ???

Many thanks in advance!!!

Kind Regards,
Johanna

Could you elaborate that a little ? What do you mean by no result ?
after that I uploaded it the same way straight into publict_html > system > database : also no result.
This folder is only for loading the database from the core, not for import purposes but is of course needed entirely for OC to operate.
Am I uploading it to the right direction?????
No.
Where should I upload it?
PHPMyAdmin under the Import page of your OpenCart database.

Hi and thank you so m uch for your support!
I uploaded the file opencart.sql using PHPMyAdmin straight into public_html : no result
Could you elaborate that a little ? What do you mean by no result ?
I now understand I uploaded it the wrong way via FTP and not directly into PHPMyAdmin.
So because I did it wrong, it got no result. In other words, the error was still there. My mistake :-[

I found out how to upload it right now thanks to your last direction:
PHPMyAdmin under the Import page of your OpenCart database.
So I imported the file but still the error exists......

I am sorry, I understand little of databases but do understand html programming.
I did it the way you told me to but still can't view the product page :'(
Now what?

Thanks in advance for your help

Kind Regards,
JOhanna

It's not really about a cannot see the product page that the problem relies on but rather missing fields showing on screen which prevents the product page on loading what's required.

Normally, after importing the opencart.sql file in PHPMyAdmin, there shouldn't be any errors left if using v1.5.1.3 of OpenCart.
