DELETE, EDIT Footer and any other stuffs....

Hi there

Um newbie using opencart, there are several question i would ask:

1. How to remove "Extra" and "My Account" but want to keep the others on footer

2. How to move "Contact Us" to (under) "Information"

3. How to put URL External Link in the "Home" link, on the right top page

4. Is it Possible on the Category Menu, we put any menu beside category, for example Home, Contact us, etc

Little bit frustated here ( I couldn't find any documentation for customizing the page "look", i explored the forum and found editing the .tpl and using controller, i did it for those problem above, but still not working properly. Currently i try to figure it somehow to do my site through opencart, and hopefully your answer could save me

All of what you want is possible, however, not easy. If you know html, it would be a breeze. If html is not your forte then post in another thread asking for someone to do these changes for you, it may cost a few bucks, but should be under $100

can be done easy mate in the header.tpl file everything you need for the menu is in there

as for the footer, yeah you guess it in the footer.tpl

I did do some modification on footer.tpl but it won't change on my frontpage, am i missing something here? i follow this guy link especially on step 2... http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php?f=139&t=36665

Yes, as long as you follow the rules outlined in Qahar's post and edit:

catalog/view/theme/YOURTHEME/template/common/footer.tpl

then those changes should be loaded to EVERY page that you browse to (as the files in template/common folder are loaded when every page is called).

Make sure that you change the template you are using in Admin > System > Settings and select [edit] next to your store.
Then select the Store tab, and under the select dropdown box for Template, select YOURTHEME and click Save.

Then you will be using your template, and your newly adjusted footer!
