Product Image Upload Not Working

Hi,
I recently successfully upgraded to Opencart 1.5.1.3, but with one issue. In the admin page when trying to add a new product, under the Data tab i am unable to add a product image. I checked under the Categories and Manufacturers, and the image upload function works properly. I am attaching a screen shot of what it looks like. its just a box with a "|" in it with no links. Any pointers or ideas on what may be wrong?
