Hi,

The other day I started to get this email's from paypal

Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN).
IPNs sent to the following URL(s) are failing:

http://website_url/payment/pp_standard/callback

If you do not recognize this URL, you may be using a service provider that is using
IPN on your behalf. Please contact your service provider with the above information.
If this problem continues, IPNs may be disabled for your account.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this issue.

Have read through many of the forum posts about this problem but I wanted to hear if somebody knows why this is happening?
We have been running the site for several months without any problems, but suddenly two days ago we startet to get a problem with the paypal module.

Normally when a customer buy something in the store and choose paypal to pay with the order status changes when the payment is completed. But this suddenly stopped for us, we are only getting the notification from paypal that an order has been made, and the order hasn't changed the order status and are still abandoned shopping cart.

From the forums posts I have read it seems like I have to change settings in my paypal account. But why do I suddenly have to do this now when we have runned the site for a long time without any problems?

EDIT:
I see that someone has had trouble whit paypal standard when they uses this module
http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... on_id=3802

I also use this module, but have had it for a while and the problem occured this week and not when I installed it.
Haven't tried to remove it yet but will do that later today and see if it works for me to, but there should be another solution for this since it has worked for a while with that contribution also.
Regards,
Thomas B

What happens when you manually goto that paypal callback url in your browser? Try from a browser you don't normally use. A lot of times people forget they have http authentication setup because their primary browser logs in for them automatically or something else pops up that you didn't realize since you have it suppressed by default.

That's true, it's very easy to forget about that.

When I go to the address that paypal says they can't contact I only get a blank page, this is no matter which type of browser I use and where I do it from.

But for about 1-2 hours ago we got an order and that did actually do everything as it should when paying with paypal, the IPN log says HTTP response 200 and status is sent in paypal logs.
In the admin of the store the order changed to correct orderstatus and order confirmations was sent out to the customer and to the admin.

Haven't had the time to change anything yet so can't understand what has happened. :/

Regards,
Thomas

The problem solved itself, haven't figured out why and therefore can't give anyone a good answer on this.
