Hey All,

I am in the processing of converting my OS Commerce over to OpenCart. I use only USPS Priority Mail Small, Medium, and Large. I am using OpenCart version 1.5.1.3

We sell underwear, so usually folks will by one or two pair and I can fit them in the Priority Mail Small box. But if they order say 12 pair and I have to use the Priority Mail Medium box which costs me more, but the customer almost always selects the Priority Mail Small box option. So I am usually getting shorted by $6.16

How does other people handle this? Is there a way based on quantity ordered to specify which Priority mail to use?

I really appreciate any guidance you guys can give me. Thanks!

Pastor C.

I had a similar issue. I use only the flat rate medium, and the flat rate large to ship our jams. I bought a multi shipping extension for this. It is exactly what I needed. Works perfect!

Thanks for the info to the link, I checked it out and left a comment but no response yet.

Anyone else got any ideas? Since I use the USPS Flat Rate maybe I need some sort of range like...

up to 3 pcs...$5.87
3-12pcs.......$11.00

Just don't know what to do? Im a pastor so you can imagine, I dont want to spend money on what doesnt suit. I need to be sure I guess. Again, thank you all for your suggestions!

This module is what you need to do what you want. You then can list and describe how many of what goes into each flat rate package. Since I sell 4 different sizes of jams, I explain that you can fit X number of a size in each size box. Then the customer knows that they can order x number of jars and select the appropriate flat rate.

I believe the link I mentioned had a demo to check out. I recommend that you try the demo and experiment with it. I think you will find it is what you are looking for. I have no connection with the author of the module. It just happens to be one that I bought to fit my needs. There may be other ones out there. You can look in the extensions link on this site.

I agree it will do that. But in addition to that...

I am trying to find something that will only give them the option based on the quantity selected. In other words I don't want my Customer given the option to choose a lesser rate even if it is described.
