it would be nice if we could choose multiple categories or vqmod as an additional checkbox. Then some of the extensions also listed there.

This request seem to be a little vague. Choose multiple categories as an additional checkbox by what exactly ?

No i mean the option to choose multiple categories.
Some extensions could use, as example, the module category but also has a vqmod file. If now a dev puts his extension into the module category and a user strictly searches in the vqmod category, he's probably losing possible income.
It would be nice to choose multiple categories OR make a checkbox that the extension also provides vqmod and also get listed in this category.

Technically, whether it comes from VQMod or modules, they both gather the results from the same database no matter if it's about categories, products, attributes etc ...
