I am using Opencart 1.5.1.3 and when I try to use Flat Rate Shipping it doesn't add to the checkout total. I see it come up during checkout but it never adds to the total. Any help would be very appreciated.

The only time this would happen is if you disabled the shipping order total.
Extensions->Order Totals->Shipping
Be sure it is enabled and between the Subtotal and Total sort orders

I have a very similar problem. I too am using Opencart 1.5.1.3

I have disabled all currencies except UK pounds as client is a private collector who charges no tax and is not selling outside UK.

Once I have added something to my cart and clicked on "checkout" or "shopping cart" I go to the correct page. If I then try to add shipping by clicking on "Estimate Shipping and Taxes" and then "get quotes" (is there anyway I can get it to just add the flat rate shipping without the customer having to click anywhere?) and then fill in the details and click on "Flat Shipping Rate" and then "Apply Shipping" button it goes back to a page that says "Your shopping cart is empty".

If I then click back on "shopping cart" it shows the cart with the item and the shipping amount applied. But if I then click on "checkout it just comes straight back to the screen it has just left.

url is http://www.rmrc.co.uk/online-shop/

Hope I have given enough detail, if not please ask for more.

I am wondering if you managed to sort out this problem as I too have this problem. My client has just one currency, does not charge tax and wishes to have flat rate shipping directly added between the sub-total and total in the shopping cart and checkout pages.
