I think it's the same company you have mentioned :) .I bought ssl at cheapssl but I was billed by namecheap (PP merchant) .Both seem trustworthy places to buy .

I think the 12.95 from godaddy requires you to host with them. between the cheap one and expensive one only difference is the amount of coverage that only covers the fact that your you and no one is snooping. Not to mention even newegg amazon use 128 bit encryption. The cheapssls comodo one I use gives my lordofthe.net site 256 bit encryption. Basically hacker on newegg/amazon see a bit of crap come across screen. They try to spy on my customer and see OMGWTF ungodly amount of encrypted crap come across.

Btw I have servers available on lordofthe.net if you need them :). If anyone needs HP stuff hit me on the contact us link since I just went into partnership with them and haven't found an easy automated way to put the HP products up. (god I wish they used my main distributor).

PS qphoria your fedex mod was helpful but damn boy it was expensive for a shipping mod
Well I see a "cheap" trend in your words...
You think I'm expensive at $40 take a look here:

At any rate, GoDaddy doesn't require you to host with them. The main thing is you know GoDaddy isn't going to disappear. It is a well marketed company and makes bank.

Well Comodo isn't going to disapear either. And it is Comodo that is verifying your certificate is valid. I have backup copies of my certificate so unless I lose my server and hard drive on home comp and flash drive. AND that company went out. I will be fine. If that cheapssl reseller goes out of business comodo is still there verifying the cert is valid so no problem.

Wish I noticed that site before I purchased the wildcard ssl direct from comodo since the wildcard was much cheaper for exact same cert on there. I have gotten certs for other domains there and they are reputable.

This is the best way for choosing a Decent SSL provider. Two standards one for a separate sub domain and one more for all of the other stores that are in subfolders of the main domain name. So it is very necessary.

Personally, I will recommend you that Geo Trust will be right choice for your web site as it's major SSL brand and Globally 2nd position in the market.

Cheap SSL Certificate | VeriSign SSL Certificate | QuickSSL Premium
WildCard SSL | EV SSL

Following SSL Certificate providers are more trusted: Symantec, GeoTrust, Godaddy, Thawte, Comodo, RapidSSL, DigiCert or go to reseller www.sslmatrix.com

What is the difference between Certificate CA and Reseller ?

No matters where you buy it from direct CA website or from reseller. You can save more money when you buy from reseller.

I get trust when someone goes to www.lordofthe.net and goes to login and the entire address bar turns green :). Of course to get the EV SSL I felt like Comodo was anal probing me for days to get all my information...
