Question on Coupon settings

Hi,

I checked the main opencart.com site and I've been searching these forums and can't seem to find the answer to this seemingly simple question. When I create a coupon, there is a Total Amount setting - what is this for? I'm guessing that it means the "Order Total" needs to be whatever I put in this field before the coupon is applied - is that correct?

By the way, I'm using v1.2.9 Thanks in advance for any replies!

Yes, I checked that page, but there's no reference to the Total Amount setting - that's why I asked here. I also searched the forums for help on this and couldn't find anything, but it's possible that I may not have typed the right words into the search box.

I'd like to know the same thing - it's not on the documentation page, and I can't find it in the forum....anyone know? I have to explain it to my client

looks like i missed it.

basicly its the order subtotal.

it must reach equal to or abbove the sub total asmout before the coupon is active.

OK i have tested and reached this conclusion by mi self.

The only problem is the mesage that appears when you try to usit, and you have not reached the total amount of coupon. it says that is invalid.

This should have diferent messages for diferent issues:

Like:

Coupon Alerady used.
Total amount not reached
This product already have free shipping, keep the coupon for later or other product.
Etc.
But in later releases you shoul try to look at this, with this ressession we have to lure our customers with vouchers or coupons, so it is an important part of this great great shopping script.
