I have a problem with a order not being created in my admin panel or customers order history. The customer buys a product and goes to paypal to pay then returns to the store and upon returning to the store it says that the orders is successful and that the customer has paid for it. But there is no order created and only a payment is made with no order. Mass confusion!!

>I am using Opencart 1.2.9 Fresh install.
>Hostmonster.com for my web server (paid hosting)
>To my knowledge there is no active scripts running on my server.
>PayPal standard plugin that came with OpenCart 1.2.9
>NO alterations to Opencart, Paypal.php or any other plugins installed. FRESH Install only.
>I have no error logs because I don't know where to get them from.

If anyone would like to help with this problem I will be glad to pay for the modifications to get it to work correctly.

Thank you for your time in this matter and help.

just out of curiosity do you think the problem might have something to do with the pear mail class that is fixed onto opencarts mail class?

because if there is an error it could stop the whole callback happening.

It might, because there has been a lot of problems reported in the forums that revolve around the email functionality of OC 1.2.x . But again I am no coder. That would be your call. I can navigate around the code and understand some but that is my knowledge. I am a Tech Monkey by trade. :)

hi daniel.

you mean like this:
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... pal#p18244

or this:
http://forums.bambooinvoice.org/index.p ... hread/517/

oe even this:
http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... lem#p21206

do i HAVE to switch "transaction method" to "authorize" instead of "sale"? i actually do not want to do this.
will the above mentioned problem be fixed if i upgrade to 1.3.0?

thanks, martin

hi daniel.

well, if you´re sick then dont do it. like someone else in this forum said: you´d better delete or edit some of your postings to keep this great project healthy, up and running. i do understand that this is very hard as a one-man-show, though.

listen, i answered all your questions and supplied you with all the information you asked for - so please dont say, i´m making you sick because i´m playing games with you! thanks. i know so many others are having exactly the same problem net getting order-emails when paid via paypal, too. so i do not really understand how the link (in addition to the above given info) can help. this surely is an opencart bug - NOT a local problem. anyway, here´s it: http://swimovate.de/shop

would be great if you can show up a way to solve this problem...
thanks a lot for your time and effort!

:)

thanks, martin

Actually all the users I whos sites I've fixed were there problems! not opencarts.

some did not have an account web sites payment pro account and were using the standard paypal info!
some had hidden advertising because they were on a free host and caused problems with opencarts ajax requests.
some where trying to use test mode without a paypal sandbox account.
some where using an older version of opencart where it said "In Development" next to it.

the list goes on and on.

Actually the no order problem is mainly because of the paypal direct problem and not the paypal standard.

The OpenCart community will not stop because you say so!

@ Daniel
You´re right with that >:D but what WAS the problem with his/her site in the end? Version, standard-module, link to shop: what´s your solution to this problem?

@ Absoluto
Did you manage to solve the problem?
