Hi -
I've seen the debug option for USPS but not the same for UPS. Is there a way to see what data is being sent to the cart? The shipping on a t-shirt in the cart at http://www.theshopsoffairwayvillage.com/ is 10.76, and should be a couple dollars less than that. I'm thinking I've misconfigured the extension, because UPS says the problem is on my end.
What value should be placed in the dimensions? I'm wondering if that could be my trouble? I have 6x6x6 in the UPS extension and then the actual package dimension in the product.
As far as weight goes, I'm using pounds, and the t-shirt is .8 lbs.
Any ideas about what I may be doing, or do you think I need to go back to UPS?
Thanks again,
Beth

I've added debug to the latest version of UPS in svn.
I've attached it here as well.
This version is the one that will be in the next version of opencart (v1.5.2)
Unzip and upload the 2 folders to your store... all the files will go to their correct places.
Overwrite the existing.
In the admin there is a new debug option. Enable it and then try to checkout again.
Debug messages will log to the system error log in the admin

Ok, I bought the UPS Deluxe Addon and installed it. Once I had it there, the checkout process hangs at shipping. I looked at the error.log, and it tells me: Missing/Invalid Shipper/ShipperNumber
For a test, I deselected negotiated rates, and tried padding. There was no error then, that I can find, but it did just hang.
I wonder if you have seen this before and have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Aha.. ok good.. another person is seeing that and i cannot reproduce it.. So now we know something weird is happening. I'm checking the debug logs nowcnc wrote:Ok, I bought the UPS Deluxe Addon and installed it. Once I had it there, the checkout process hangs at shipping. Ok fixed... Didn't realize the built in UPS extension didn't require a ShipperNumber field which is needed for negotiated rates. I've checked the API now and it should be working fine. You will need to go back into the UPS configuration and add your UPS Shipper number (your UPS account number) if using negotiated rates.cnc wrote:Ok, I bought the UPS Deluxe Addon and installed it. Enable debug and check the system error logcnc wrote:Heh. I deserved that one. I'm probably going to need the fairies, though. I'm still getting the non-negotiated rate!
Look for UPS RECV and look for the word "negotiate" in the message to be sure you are actually getting negotiated rates back from ups.
The attachment gives the debug log details.

Was this ever resolved? I recently installed the UPS Deluxe extension, put in my UPS account number, and am still getting the regular rates. I was really hoping it would work right away but it seems I'm not the only person that didn't have immediate success.
