send a secret number to customers email on order completion

Hi everyone,

I am using OC version 1.4.9.5.
Is there any way I can send a secret number ( fetched from database ) after a customer completes payment / or the order is completed ??
The situation is, I am selling cards with secret numbers, so when a customers ordered the card I have to fetch the next secret number from database and send this by email to the customer.
Is this possible ?? Please help !!!

its possible, there was a CD key extension that did this, not sure if its been updated, but that would work similar to what you require.
