Problem editing category text...losing text!!

Hi

I have recently moved my OC install so have exported then imported the database which has all worked fine. However I have gone to edit the category description text and after deleting some text and saving only the first few letters of the category description appear. I have tried deleting all text, saving and then entering text again but only the first few characters appear again...it seems to wipe the rest of the text???

Any ideas...anyone?

Well I have narrowed it down to the '£' sign. Every time I use a '£' sign the text gets truncated at that point.

Anyone any ideas?
