After comparing all of the eCommerce scripts at www.opensourcecms.com, I've decided to try OpenCart!
It looks like three of the features I was going to suggest (Coupons, Mailing List and WYSIWYG Editor) are going to be implemented in the .7 release; here are the other features I would like:

1. Auctions
This shouldn't be too hard, and it would pave the way for the second feature...

2. Selling Accounts
It would be nice if users could list their own items for sale. Of course, this would be an independent module which could be disabled/enabled based upon the administrator's preferences. Understandably, such a feature would involve a substantial amount of coding, but it would be a very significant addition to an already flourishing script.

Are either of these features going to be implemented in future releases?

Keep Up The Good Work!

I think, there are other core functions, that need to be done more urgently than auctions...

I agree with paia.  Core functions need to worked on first.  But since this is the suggestion forum... I guess it is does not hurt to ask for features.  I am not taking sides, just would like to see a stable system first, with documentation on usage, coding and development before creating another eBay.
