Why did my customer not recieve her product?

I have my store set up for downloads, I have uploaded two test products and set as down loadable.
My tester made her purchase, all is processed on my end and hers, but after four hours, the download still isn't in her account. It is supposed to be instant.
I am using version 1.5.1.3.1.
PayPal Standard ( which PayPal said would work just fine and it did )
I have both zips in the downloads under catalog
So what gives?
Why hasn't she gotten her download yet?

the order status must match whatever the complete order status is in your store settings on the options tab.

They are both set to "Processed". In my store settings, and in the PayPal settings.
I double checked that.

If you mean in the Localisation area, I cannot get the default setting to change.

EDIT:

OK, I figured all that out. Everything is set to Processed.
Waiting to hear back if she got the item of not.

First, sorry for a double post.

Here is what my customer is reporting to me:
Just checked the store to see if I could find the download yet. I still don't see it.

When I click on downloads, it says "you have not made any previous downloadable orders".

When I click Order History it shows that I've ordered one item for $2.75, and shows Staus: processed. However, if I click on View it shows the Order detail(date, invoice number); then Payment Address(my name, addy, number); then Product Name(shows Kate there); Order History(at the very bottom of the page here) shows the date of order and a status of pending still. I'm wondering if this second spot showing pending instead of processed is why I can't see the link yet.

This was 9 hours after her purchase. It should have been an istant download, and should be showing in her available down loads by then. It has now been almost 16 hours.
Can someone please explain this? I am at a loss, and starting to rethink a few things.

in the admin if you goto her order and click view then goto the order history tab. the dropdown for order status and the last comment should match. That is the current order status of the order. Now if that status does not match the complete order status under system->settings edit store and option tab then you will not see the download.

Everything says the same thing. In her orders is says Processed.

you are in the wrong place for the list on the right. That is just the order statuses you have available. You need to click edit on that order in the admin click on the order history tab and see what the order status is set to there.

I uploaded the file in the downloads area, when i look in that are for that product, it had the file name followed by a series of numbers. Ins't that how to add the download link?

once you add it to the download area then you have to edit the product and under the links tab I think it is you have to associate that product with the files from the download area that the customer will be able to download if they purchase that product. there is a big box with all your downloadable files with a checkbox next to them. you check all of the ones that purchasing that product should allow the customer to download.

I did that, Just to see if it works I added the file association to location in main data.

I am not trying tp piss you ( or anyone ) off, I have done what the DOC's told me too, I lave done and checked the things you have stated.

I am not an idiot ( you might think so ), I can usually just figure out things on my own. I did it with removing all the unwanted links, editing the footer, and a few other things.
But this one has be all twisted.
