I am new to OpenCart and just installed on my server. Everything was working fine. I tried installing the customer groups contribution to allow multiple pricing tiers and now my cart's index will not load. I get the following error, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I would hazard a guess and say that you are using a fairly new version of OpenCart with a contribution that has not been updated to accommodate the new directory structure.

Which version of OpenCart are you using and which version was the contribution developed for?

Sounds like you hit it on the head. The version of cart which was installed was the latest v1.2.6 released 9th April, 2009.

The Contribution was Customer Groups v1.0 for OpenCart v1.1.8. I failed to even think of this let alone double check the two were compatible.

Any suggestions how to get myself out of this mess :(.

Thank you in advance for your help in this situation.

Hi,

Sorry but it looks like a clean re-install of ver 1.2.6 is required.

Backup your databases first so that you can restore your categories and products etc...

Hi,

I would use phpMyAdmin and export.

Last question, do you suggested just re uploading the cart? Or first deleting the existing directory and recreating? What is the most efficient way of reinstalling. Thanks.

Hi,

Delete the existing and upload a fresh copy then follow the install routine.

Then you will need to restore your data.
