Hi guys,

I installed OpenCart 1.5.1.3 (Dutch language extension) and created
- a geo zone 'BE BTW' including all zones of Belgium
- a tax rate 'BTW 21%' (21; percentage; all customer groups; zone 'BE BTW')
- a tax class 'BE 21%' including 1 rule: 'BTW 21%' based on store address
- a product 'x' within tax class 'BE 21%'; price: 25 ex. tax

Our store has following settings:
- country: Belgium
- Display Prices With Tax: Yes
- Use Store Tax Address: Shipping Address
- Use CustomerTax Address: Shipping Address

and the price of 'x' on the web page is still listed without tax (€ 25.00 ex. tax) :( .
Have I forgotten something?

Best regards - Joris M

Hi all,

I've found it! :)

I debugged the tax-display code to the bone (i.e. SQL-queries in system/library/tax.php function getRates) and found out that the table tax_rate_to_customer_group was completely empty (!)

I went back to the tax rates page in the administration client and discovered that the customer groups of the tax rate I was testing were not selected any more.

This sounds like I just forgot to select the customer groups, but then I discovered that all the customer groups of the other tax rates were selected whereas the table tax_rate_to_customer_group was completely empty. So the flags do not correspond with the database situation... I think it has to do with displaying default customer group checkboxes in stead of displaying what is inside the database, but I'm not sure.

So if you are facing this kind of problem, watch your table tax_rate_to_customer_group and play along with the customer group checkboxes of the tax rates ;)

Best regards - Joris M

I think that you mus have made an error.

I have been working with this version and the upcoming one and no issues what so ever on "emptying" Tax rates or classes.

I haven't because I can easily reconstruct the problem.
1) Create a new tax rate with all customer groups enabled and press "save"
2) Edit the tax rate and disable all customer groups and press "save"
3) Edit the tax rate again and you'll see that all customer group flags are enabled (whereas in DB disabled)

??? ;)
