There are several suggestions I have which are all important to shopping carts.

1) Offline Credit Card processing

Many times with sales reps in the field, they collect customer credit card info including CVV and bring orders back into the office to be order-entered into the shopping cart for online credit card processing. I don't see any option to do this.

2) Guest Checkout

Customers should not be forced to register. Never. This is becoming standard "shopequite" now.

3) One-Page checkout

The simpler the checkout process and the less hoops one makes the customer go through, the less the chance for abandoned carts.

4) Live UPS and Fedex shipping calculation

The above makes a shopping cart very usable and popular. If these improvements are implemented, I will certainly use and support this shopping cart.

Thanks for everything so far!

#1 - is there anything stopping a shop owner from collecting CC info, putting an order through the cart and processing it?

#2 - i agree with this and it should probably be a priority change for opencart. this has been requested before. the shop owner should be able to choose whether or not registration is required to place an order.

#3 - lower priority for me, but makes sense. personally, as a shopper, i like have the steps organized and not requiring alot of scrolling. but thats me :)

#4 - i'm pretty sure this can be integrated into the current framework as a shipping module. just need someone to write it :)
