modules are dynamic based on the module system. You will have to uninstall the old one and then reinstall the new one Tho you can be easily confused if you just copied the files from the new version into the old version.

Be sure you have all 7 files copied and install from the backend and it should work

I can´t believe this took weeks to get solved, even though I´ve been telling right from the start that there HAS TO BE something missing - any idea why it is THAT difficult to get some decent help here?

Anyway, you Qphoria are keeping this whole thing running here - thanks for your effort and patience!!!

PS: And 'absoluto' got banned, just because she only told the truth! The paypal module WAS broken. But it seems that someone doesn´t really like the truth here (Let´s see how muchl onger I´ll be a registered member from this post on)...

Hi there,

i hope it's okay to re-open this thread, but it fits so perfectly to my current issue. I'm also having the effect of the not-existent order in my Opencart installation. Payment over Paypal seems to work fine though. When using bank transfer everything is working fine.

I'm using the current version of Opencart with Paypal Standard on http://www.eyefly.info.

If anyone has a hint for me i'd really appreciate it. If you need more information please let me know.

thanks a lot for the quick reply. I've set up Paypal as described in this guide:

And put the token in the Paypal-Configuration.

I'm using Paypal Sandbox for testing (on both sides, testmode is activated in Opencart), could that be a source of the issue?

Answered a post earlier and tirning on IPN in paypal profile fixed their problem

Nope, does not work with a live account as well :-(
I'm getting redirected to the shop as it should be after the payment, but the order does not seem to exist in Opencart.

Any other ideas?

For my part the reason should be the IPN-Handshake and the order confirmation page where the customer is redirected from Paypal ist just a standard site. Thats the only reason i can see why the order doesn't show in Opencart.

@uksitebilder: My problem is a bit different, but i leads in the same direction, so i'll read this thread.

In the meantime i'll try to understand how the whole IPN-thing works and how i can solve the riddle.

Alright, i'm getting somewhere... i've finally found the IPN log for the live order. It actually states that it was not able to connect to Opencart (HTTP-error: 500). The URL seems right though:

http://www.eyefly.info/index.php?route= ... d/callback

I'm gonna check my webserver, maybe it has something to do with that.


Update: It works! Indeed, cURL was NOT installed... must have overread that during install. Thanks anyway for your help!
