Change the logo

hi,
I am new to web site develop and coding.
I have been trying to resize the top header bar so that it fits my logo but cant seem to find the right places in the code. so if you can tell where to edit the code that would be great. also I would like to change the background to a gif image , so if you cane give me any help that would be great.

Have a look at the stylesheet.css and common/header.tpl files.

These can be found in your default template directory.

and could not figure out with places to edit .

Go to the admin section admin/configuration/setting - you can change the store logo there.

To change all the design theme, you can change the template files - they are html format files.
