Hi
I am looking at implementing OpenCart (latest version) but have mixed/complex shipping charges, well I think they are. Before I get too far down the line can anyone tell me if the following shipping can be implemented:
  • Manufacturer 1 - ships direct/drop ships - first item at price (a) for that item second item at price (b) for that item, different items have different rates but it is always first price for item 1 and second price for additional items. If the order total is $500, for this manufacturer, then all items are shipped free.
Manufacturer 2 - ships direct/drop ships - all items at their price per town/zone.
Product 3 - fixed price for all shipping.
Other products - shipping cost based on order price.
Finally a customer might buy items from all 4 groups at the same time and I don't want to show the customer anything other than the total without options.

Thanks for your help,

TRex

There are no shipping extensions like this available currently. That's a pretty complex set-up, so you're likely going to have to have someone write a custom shipping method for you. I would try posting a request about this project in the Commercial Support forum.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I will try and put together a more detailed spec of the requirements and post it up.

Do you happen to know if any of the requirements are covered by any of the add-ons?

Thanks again.

For manufacturer 1, it sounds like Quantity-Based Shipping would work for you.

For manufacturer 2, Shipping by Product could work.

For all other products, you'd want Total-Based Shipping
