Are there any clear instructions on how to use Paypal Pro with OpenCart?
I just checked this link on the paypal site and it seems that Paypal does not recognize Opencart as one of the shopping carts that have preintegrated with their Payments Pro:

According to this posting yesterday from Daniel it sounds like something might be available soon.

Any guidance on what I would need to do to integrate Paypal or how long I should wait before this integration might take is appreciated.
i've already finished the paypal pro payment system. it will be in the next release.
Just because opencart is not listred there does not mean it can not have a payments pro gateway.
as for getting it listed i will need to add paypal express aswell.

I am also interested in adding the paypal pro payment system and I am looking to integrate the paypal pro API into my site.
Could you let me know when this release will be out and if it will allow me to integrate the Paypal Pro API? Also as I haven't tried this integration before can you guide me as to how exactly it should be done in open cart or is it the same process as installing any other payment option.

Why keep new stuff to your self just because of make new release?? Is it not better just upload new payment to forum and people can install it now, not wait weeks or months..? What is the difference between billing systems and PayPal? Billing systems such as Verotel and CCBill are offered seperatly to PayPal on many sites and offer instant credit card payment, but isn't that what PayPal does too? Does PayPal require membership? Is more than one solution neccesary? What are the commisuion rates, monthly charges etc? None of the magitude of web sites I have found answers these questions.

- IPN Verification doesn't always work right

Pros:
- Customers never leave site
- Simple CC form
Cons:
- Must have your own SSL
- Stupid rules about PP Express that make no sense
- Monthly fee is a bit pricey
