Create text box as a Product option?

Just wondering can anybody tell me how to create a text box option in the product module?
I need it so name/message details can be entered...only needs to be max 60 characters.

Opencart doesn't have such function. To add custom fields.

you must add fields to tpl file and php file, create new DB entries according to field..lets say in product table create field -myfield. so in php set to when submitting form-ordering-to write this value to db..it's not very easy if you're new guy to php.
