help for a rookie

Hi guys,

I am very new here, i have the open cart 0.7.9 and i want to install the latest version now from scratch, I uploaded the upload folder to my server public html (using hostmonster), now i dont know how to proceed. does anyone can tell me step by step what to do ? i have the install text that comes with the files for opencart v1.x but i really dont know how t o fallow it.

Hi,

Backup everything then remove everything from your server relating to the shop.

Upload the latest version 1.2.6.

Run the index script found in the shops root directory. Upon first run it will initiate the install routine, simply follow that.
