I noticed a couple of threads on the forum about redirecting the header links to the cart rather than to the checkout- to ensure customers had a chance to enter coupons, vouchers etc. Couldn't find a solution so thought I would post a mod.
This vQmod removes the checkout link in the header - it leaves the shopping cart link.
It changes the link in the header pop-up to go to the cart rather than the checkout.
For 1.5.1.1 and the default template
