SOLVED Add product option not working

Like some others I seem to be having problems adding Product Options. I understand the green button is just an indicator however I have followed directions on other posts stating to begin typing the option name and the option would show in a drop down but it does not. The demo.opencart.com appears to work this way but my freshly installed copy of 1.5.1 does not. Can anyone help advise me what i can do to fix this?

BTW: I was able to download 1.5.0.5 and it works so this must be an issue with the 1.5.1 build.

I have the same problem running opencart under winodows server. I think opencart does not work under windows. I am going to try it on a linux server once i have time. Alot of people have it working on their linux.

i am running linux and its where i have the problem.

Then it would be a waste of time if i bought a linux server. I guess you and me are having the same problem. What version apache/linux/mysql are you using?

my phpinfo shows:

System Linux server 2.6.18-028stab068.3 #1 SMP Tue Feb 16 20:21:42 MSK 2010 i686
mysql client api 5.0.92

The problem were having is related to the same thing. That little function we love to hate mb_strtolower.
If it is not enabled search doesn't work neither do adding options to products. Once I enabled it and recompiled php everything worked

well if you go to catalog, then to options, there should be lots of choices for options. edit the ones you want to your satisfaction then save. then when your working on a new or editing a previous product. click the options tab. type the option that you selected earlier. e.g.(Color) or (Size). it will drop down to choose when you start typing. click the option name. then move on from there.

but the problem i have after all this is.... after i crated my option to my liking. i then save. open up my store front.
and i choose a product. click the select and option drop down selector. and there is only one of the sizes, and only one of the Color choices. but I created the option with small-4xL, and 9 different colors.

I also had some problems with product options. The decision was very simple but it took me hours to discover it:( May be this post will be helpful to someone.
The decision: I create a Size option with elements S, M, L, XL and etc. But in the front page these elements were not displayed. The problem was that it needs to determine the available quantity of the everyone from the elements and thats all. But the sum of the quantity of the elements of the options must be the same as the available quantity of the product.

hlooo frnds i have issue regarind product selection. actually i have carinterio.com website there is problem is product succesfully added but when i am choose another product option like from http://carinterio.com/index.php?route=p ... duct_id=70 link that time product pass from the add to card but image show into cart page as default image from the product soo pls any dosto help meee
