cannot upload some folders

A rookie need some help here. I downloaded new version 1.2.6, but can not upload all the folders to the server.
I created new folder under home/www/********/****/store. Only admin, cache, install are copied. The rest of folders catalog... can not upload no matter how I try.
Can someone tell me it is my server problem? Should I upload into a different folder? Thanks a lot!

I may be wrong but i dont think it matters what folder you load the software in as long as its not in your cgi folder. You may want to look into another ftp client or see if you can load the files in a zip file then unzip once loaded on the server.
