Username Password Login

Is there anyway to use Username and Password instead of email and password?

there is always a way

would require change to the db, sign up and sign in pages

So I would have to change the customer tables. Change the Sign Up and then the Login. What about any session management?

add a table for the user name blah blah blah

then on the login just add the sql to check either or for email or username
for perfect match

should not mess anything up
