I get this message when using usps shipping during check out; Authorization failure. You are not authorized to connect to this server.
I have went to webtools and received a username and password. and I entered the username into the field along with zipcode.

If I'm not mistaken you need to call or email them to activate your profile to allow you access to the production server. For some reason unknown the test is just that. It will let ya know you're connecting, but won't grant you access.
Once activated....all should be good. You will also want to include multiple shipping options. For example: If you're shipping items that can go first class but might add up to above the limit of 13oz, then you will want to also include priority mail through the settings. If not you will get the contact admin error message from within the storefront.
Hope this helps as I've too been working on this. I'm not getting accurate rates though.

Maybe in 1.5 but 1.4.9.5 is flawed. Get 1.71 for first class shipping no matter how much it weighs up to 13oz. After that it jumps to priority which is right on. The ounces just don't seem to function properly. Probably just me...been workin on this for two days and tired of lookin at it. Just using flat rate for now.

Hmm no.. that fix isn't in 1.5.x yet. 1.4.9.5 should be 100% perfectSigkaizen wrote:Maybe in 1.5 but 1.4.9.5 is flawed. Get 1.71 for first class shipping no matter how much it weighs up to 13oz. I just tested again and it is working perfectly. Try for yourself:
http://unbannable.com/v149x
you can login with demo@demo.com / demo
Add the macbook air item to your cart. It is set to 2oz
click checkout and see the first class rate
then add a few more to your cart and checkout..you should see a different rate
The firstclass setting is set to "Lettermail"
Didn't try lettermail
However, went through your checkout and got 0.64 for 2oz. Lettermail maybe but being a small parcel is what we're shipping is no less than 2.25 in a small box. (even at 2oz) We ship everyday.
I will try with lettermail on our site when I get the chance. I appreciate you guys looking into this issue. Not trying to bust balls or anything but hopefully be apart of the solution. I will post my results within a day.
Thanks again,
Stu

USPS is $1.71 for up to three ounces. Based on the weights it shows in the cart, I think your MacBook Air product is actually 1 ounce, which means the calculations are correct.
