Duplicated weight based shipping module

Hello,

I have 3 different couriers all of them are using weight based shipping. I have duplicated this module and changed the class names accordingly. rates are working fine, but when i try to update the cart (remove an item) the shipping rates for the first 2 options doesnt change. only the last one shipping option. (Checkout).

Do you think i have to add a code in order for all the three rates gets update upon modifying items on cart?

Sounds like you didn't duplicate everything properly. Can't you just use a single instance of the weight-based shipping module, and create multiple geo zones that are the same but have different names? That should work the same as what you're trying to do.

Agreed with Jonathan, The weight based module is multi-instanced based on geozone. Even if you wanted to have multiple rates to the same location, you can create multiple geozones with the same values. You shouldn't ever need to clone that one

I like to duplicate free shipping module for Opencart 1.5, but get error after changing the file name and some code. I want to duplicate because the free shipping only provide 1 zone only.

Example: Zone A could get free shipping is purchase more than 100
Zone B could get free shipping is purchase more than 150

Is that possible?

I duplicate this file
Admin > controller > shipping > free.php
Admin > language > english > shipping > free.php
Admin > view > template > shipping > free.tpl

Catelog > language > english > shipping > item.php
catelog > model > shipping > item.php

I try to change all the file name to Free2.php, and item2.php.

inside this file ,Admin > controller > shipping > free.php. I change all the free to free2

Do i change the correct way?

Resolve: i able to change and without any error just when i activate the new free shipping module, when i press estimate shipping and tax, the calculation won't show. While file i have to edit?

When i enable the new free shipping module, the old free shipping module also cannot show probably . Please advise
