Getting http 404 not found error after installing open cart

Hi -

I have installed opencart successfully but after installation & deleting install directory m getting HTTP 404 NOT FOUND error.


also i have checked all the files and i have found that config.php file is blank after installtion.

Please suggest.

More detailed.

I have installed opencart successfully on goddady but after installation my website url again redirects me to the page for installaion of open cart again.

where in if i am looking at mysql database it has been updated with 59 tables of opencart.

then i have deleted install directory and i am getting HTTP 404 NOT FOUND error on enter my website url.

I realize I'm resurrecting an old post, but I am having the EXACT same issue

GoDaddy Hosting - Windows

Followed directions to the tee, except I can't seem to set the permissions for the config.php files through FTP (CHMOD not understood by windoze), nor can I change the individual file permissions through the GoDaddy File Manager. It seems I can only set folder permissions.

The pre-installation checks out fine, all green. The installer seems to finish fine, then I delete the install directory. When I navigate to my store, I get 404 page not found. (my store is located in a subdirectory called "store".

I would appreciate any assistance I could get.

Looks as if opencart cant' write to config.php as it is blank after install. Migrating to Linux platform so I can adjust the file level permissions.
