I have a website developed in opencart, the issue is, i am currently running opencart 1.5.0, I have currently installed this module (http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route ... order=DESC) . The problem is its not compatible with opencart 1.5, Now can someone upgrade this module, so that it functions with OC1.5. Please discuss the charges with me.
I prefer someone to do this ASAP, and that means today.
Regards
Pavan
Option 1. Wait for Qphoria to come back from vacation, finish helping to debug 1.5 to make it ready to receive ported extensions, wait for Qphoria to update his "Offline Credit Card Processing" extension to be compatible with 1.5, and purchase that module. That will take months and probably cost you about US$20.
Option 2. Proceed with your original request. You should have noticed by now that there are only two offline credit card modules available - the very limited one offered for free by alexmoreno, and the full featured one by Qphoria for $15. If you contract now for someone to write such a module exclusively for you, you will likely spend more and wait longer than Option 1.
Option 3. Create your store with version 1.4.9. Purchase Qphoria's extension from his store for $15. Be making money immediately. Keep track of 1.5's progress through debugging and feature and extension development. Keep making money. Decide when the features and extensions you need for your business are available for version 1.5. Keep making money. Migrate your store to version 1.5. Make more money.

Actually, there are three offline credit card modules available. The two you mentioned and this one for offline cc processing through Mals-Ecommerce.mberlant wrote:... there are only two offline credit card modules available - the very limited one offered for free by alexmoreno, and the full featured one by Qphoria for $15.

I visited this link and found what appears to be an outside service instead of a self contained extension module. The description also touts that this service is certified by Visa, which makes me wonder how it handles other types of credit card, like MasterCard, American Express, JCB, Discover, etc. How does this service hand back the customer's credit card information to the store operator for off-line processing?fido-x wrote:Actually, there are three offline credit card modules available. Is this any difference in concept to other payment gateways, eg. PayPal (which is an external service)?mberlant wrote:I visited this link and found what appears to be an outside service instead of a self contained extension module.
They don't "hand back" the customer's credit card information, as such. You log in to your account at Mals-e, from in there you need to create a sort of "subsidiary" account to access your customers credit card numbers. These are automatically deleted after 30 days. How does this service hand back the customer's credit card information to the store operator for off-line processing?
The advantages to using an outside service like Mals-e are: you don't have to worry about SSL certificates and your regular compulsory PCI compliance scans (and their associated costs).
There has been some discussion on the forum regarding this. If you had done a search, you would have found these:

That's a terrific description of how the service works. Had that description been available on your web site when I clicked your link I would never have made my previous post.fido-x wrote:They don't "hand back" the customer's credit card information, as such.
