That definitely deserves to be in the core levon. It is almost as though it was over-looked.
I haven't tested it because it is only 1.4.7 and I didn't want to tinker with it for 1.4.8/9 if you are working on it anyway. I think it is only a matter of adding the token ($this->session->data['token']) to make it completely up-to-date, but I only really know Opencart from 1.4.8

My shop was 1.4.7 yesterday. That why I made this modification for that version. Now I upgrade to 1.4.9.1 and modification also has 1.4.9.1 variant.
If somebody ask me to make it for other version .... no problem ;-)

I was wrong saying "I didn't find any". To be correct when I first time install OC (v1.4.7) there wasn't any.
Now there is one for v1.4.8

So if you are going to install fresh OC v1.4.8, for sure it's better to patch installation folder and install after.
