hi guys i cant find a beginers topic to help me out how do i edit the front page image to my own where it says your store your company slogan ive manage to get through most of it but this seems to of stop me in my tracks :o

its under catalog/view/theme/image/logo.png

You can edit the logo image with adobe fireworks.

hi thanks for that the script is already installed on my servers so do i have to edit from my servers or via the control pannel via admin

You use your FTP access to replace the logo with your own. forget about fireworks. Just create a logo in your favorite paint/photo application (like mspaint :P) and overwrite the existing one.

Of course there is always the option of doing it the Microsoft-free way: ;D
  • - gFTP or FileZilla for your FTP client
    - Gimp 2.6.x for the picture/graphics editing

I tried this and it wont get placed properly !
what I did was copied original logo, edited it , pasted my logo in it and uploaded ! but the issue it its not big enough ! on resizing, it wont get placed properly in header.
why there is no option to uplaod logo !!

well as will all DOM elements, a logo is just an image.... images can also be sized with CSS... so you are likely trying to squeeze a larger image into the spot where the existing small logo is.

So you need to change the CSS to allow a wider image.
