Hey helpful and good people in OC community!

I'm back again for the new OC. Just installed 1.5.0 for a new client and need a serious revamp for it to get going. I'm a bit rusty in the codes (been 6 months i think), so I might need help once in a while. For now I'm gonna go through all the change logs and see whats new with OC as of now.

I had a very pleasant experience with OC 1.4.9.2, big thank you for all of you (yes! u know who ur!)

Anyway, back to the codes! 8)

I don't know much about PHP...~~
Don't know much about JQuery...~~
But I do know that I love OC!~~
and I know that if you'd guide me, what a wonderful world this would be...!~~

Here's the first bit of help - unsolicited: The very first thing you ought to do is to read through the threads that talk about how 1.5 is in the early release for testing and debugging phase.

If you want to make this client happy, you should rip out 1.5 and put in 1.4.9.5. It's stable, and all of the extensions, templates and other peripherals you may need are readily available. None of this is available yet for 1.5, as you will learn when you start reading the forum.

Please use proper English at all times, so that all members may understand you.

I'm obviously a newby around here, but I didn't get the impression from the homepage or download page of this site that 1.5 is a release candidate, or not ready for primetime?

Should I really be using 1.4x?

Guess ur right there. I've already installed 1.5.0.3. Guess i need to find that 1.4.9.5 and get that installed instead. Old version does work better and more stable ;D

@PurpleEdge - 1.5 is relatively new. It is likely to have a number of bugs still despite all of the bugfixes already made, and therefore you're best off sticking with 1.4 if you want to ensure your site works well and safely
