[1.5.0]Seperate Cusomters by Store?

First, I want to thank the developers for a great product.

Second, I've only played around with Opencart 1.5 for a short while. (Was quite familiar with 1.4.*) If I recall correctly, I remember there was some talk about possibly allowing for an unique separation of customers in a multi-store setup based on the store they purchased from? Was this ever developed?

I know that true multi-vendor support is not included. I am also aware that a forum member (Fido) was developing a commercial multi-vendor extension. However, such a setup is much more than I need right now. I would just like to be able to "separate" customers by store and also filter sales based on the store that made that sale (no vendor login, etc...) Is this possible?
