I upgraded my shop to 1.5.0 version using Softaculous and I am getting following errors:

Error: Unknown column 'store_id' in 'where clause'
Error No: 1054
SELECT * FROM oc_setting WHERE store_id = '0' OR store_id = '0' ORDER BY store_id ASC

I had to restore my backup by getting back to 1.4.9.5 version. After last two upgrades I am getting scared when I see a notification that a new version is available. :D

All the best.

Ok, thanks guys. I'll write to them than. Let's what they say. My last two OC upgrades using Softaculous were just a nightmare. Many thanks.

lol ouch.. harsh.

Softaculous just handles installations on a general level, trying to make all installs work the same. I will be integrating the upgrade process into the installer when I get it done and it will be more usable. But still I don't know enough about softaculous to actually condone upgrading with them. New installs are ok but upgrades need to be handled a bit differently for now.

I'm actually looking into a way to pull updates from the SVN directly to the site for instant upgrades, but that isn't an overnight thing

even so if they don't even bother to read the release notes on a new version that says there is no upgrade path before they integrate it into their system I don't think I'm being too harsh.

i've been using softaculous for several oc installation. upgrading through them from lower versions were seems okay but not to 1.5.x. i also noticed that softaculous already removed the auto-update icon for its oc; perhaps they were able to read this thread already.

Hi all conserned

I contacted Softaculous yesterday and I got their answer this morning. Here it is:
Hi,

Yes, there was an error on our side.
We had read the MANUALs and deleted the UPGRADE files.
But during SVN Commit the files were left out and hence in our repository the files were still there which allowed the upgrade.

Our team checked this ASAP and we released a newer package in an hour from the 1st one. But by that time atleast a 1000 servers had synced with the package.
We have also already launched the 1.5.0.1 version.

Regarding your existing site. Did you make a backup ?
We can restore it from that. Otherwise we will try to restore by manually replacing the files.
Can you give me the account details ?

Regards,

I hope it will claryfy the problem a little bit. :)

Take care!
