I am translating into danish, right now v1.4.9.5. I call it danish2 in the extensions section
As far as I can see on some non-english running OC sites I am not the only one, that cannot find out, how to translate the texts in the lower left corner of the shop:

About Us
Privacy
Terms and Conditions

Example in swedish: http://rockartshop.se

How do I do this?

Hang on: I did a internal forum search on the issue, found nothing. Then I googled it and found http://forum.opencart.com/viewtopic.php ... 66&p=29020, just to let you know, that I am reading and will see, if I can do, what is told in the thread.
10 minutes later: that did NOT help, still don't know how to do it.

Hi C. Thank you. I should have updated, but forgot because I wrote about the same thing in the german section. I also found out about this, but as a translator I am looking or rather asking: Why are these 'parameters' not included in the language files? I am not a programmer and I have read the reply from Q, that they "belong" to the database.

The thing is: every user has do this for every extra language. It just would be smart, if we could save 50.000 users this work - besides the fact, that very few non-english shops running OC have actually done it. Why: Because they do not know how and do not have the time to figure it out.

is in this way because they are database fields basis, and you can enter any variable information you want, this are not static field, in this case for example you have About Us, Privacy and Terms and Conditions but you can enter information about shipping cost (and explain about the process), Return Policy, any you want so, how you can translate this?? this is the only way.

1) Every translator can translate "About us", "Privacy" and "Terms and Conditions"
2) The textfields can also be translated into the 'default' for that language/country.

My point is: When translated the way I suggest, you would not see shops displaying "About us", "Privacy" etc. when the user selects a non-english language.

Is your mother tongue english?
