Basic Counter for OpenCart needed

Hi Guys,
Im not too clued up on OpenCart so youll have to bare with me.

I need a basic Website Counter, so i can keep track of the number of customers that come on my website.
I dont need anything special, just something very simple to add into the nav bar on the side. Iv had a look in the opencart shop and im not too sure what i need, ideally a free one would be great...

I think the version of OpenCart i have is 1.4.8 or possible 1.4.9.
