Code: Select all

don;t complain about things that should be obvious
This is not a complaint, as this is a bug forum which is what I thought I was reporting!!! The choice is there in admin to change the image sizes as anybody wishes to! If somebody does not know about designing or html etc etc, how are they to know that this "Should be obvious"

Code: Select all

thenthere are always going to be limits on the template
In OC 1.4.9.1 which I am using on our live site, the category.tpl is set in a table of 4 accross & 25% width per cell making what ever image size is chosen in admin fit into the table

Code: Select all

if you require large images alter the css.
I can do this without a problem or even add a table to the tpl just as in 1.4.9.1, but if the option is there in the admin settings for me to change the image size, which is only what I have done & then on the 'grid' view, the images are overlapping, is this not a bug which I have reported in here?
I dont mean to have a go or anything, as Ive been using OC since 1.3.0 back in 2009 & you have done a great job & the latest new layout etc has come a very long way since then, but when I think I am only trying to help out by reporting what I think / thought was a bug, but I am told

Code: Select all

don;t complain about things that should be obvious
then I have to say, what may be so obvious to you, is not all that obvious to everybody else & especially those that are not developers or web designers etc ;)

Just downloaded and installed the most current SVN (r258) and when creating an account when checking the following error always appears:

Error: E-Mail Address is already registered!

This is on a clean install with no registered accounts.

yes and if you click on one of the sub categories you will go to it. you can not have infinite sub categories because they will come out of the left column and over lap the content.

I'm seriously thinking here of not looking at the bug reports section until RC2 is out. you can not have unlimited categories showing on one page. categories need to show depending on what leave you are on. you can not show all.

Is it me or does the latest SVN 261 lost all its email_texts in the English files?

That's me as well. Email functions are not working but haven't looked into why.

Not sure if the gift voucher system has been finished yet or not, but if I try to buy just a gift voucher I can't proceed to checkout but if I have something else in the cart then I can.

The e-mail functions have been removed as far as I see.

I noticed this while updating the 1.5.0 SVN Dutch language.

We will have to wait what Daniel comes up with.
My guess is that all e-mail related text will be moved to a separate file.

I've just downloaded the latest SVN once again (r263) and can better explain what's going on now. When checking out and choosing "Register an Account", you are brought to the "Checkout" page. After filling in all your info and clicking on "Continue", nothing seems to happen, but the account is actually created yet you do not move to the next stage of the checkout process. If you click on "Continue" again, you are told that the email address is already registered.

This happens in Firefox 4.01 and IE 9.0.

I believe it has something to do with the e-mail files missing in the SVN 263.

Using SVN 261. When I create a new category in the backend, if I do NOT check the "Top" box under the "Data" tab, I get a plain screen and the following error message when I save:
Notice: Undefined index: top in /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/admin/model/catalog/category.php on line 4Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/admin/index.php:75) in /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/system/engine/controller.php on line 28Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/admin/index.php:75) in /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/system/engine/controller.php on line 29
The category does show up in the category list, though.

The message does not appear if I check the "Top" box when I am creating the category.

Similarly, if I Edit a previously-created category and remove the check from the "Top" box, there is this message when I save:
Notice: Undefined index: top in /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/admin/model/catalog/category.php on line 38Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/admin/index.php:75) in /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/system/engine/controller.php on line 28Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/admin/index.php:75) in /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/system/engine/controller.php on line 29
EDIT: Just installed changes for SVN 263, and the error still occurs.

Two bugs in SVN263, both in the shopping cart:

(1) Pressing the "Update" button gives this error message:
2011-05-15 16:56:57 - PHP Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/catalog/controller/checkout/cart.php on line 30
2011-05-15 16:56:57 - PHP Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/index.php:96) in /home/wyncroft/public_html/store/system/engine/controller.php on line 28

Returning to the cart does show the update (quantity change, removed item).

(2) Shipping/taxes, discount, gift voucher radio buttons not working. You can check one of them, but nothing happens.

Using the latest SVN r.271

These are very small faults . . . . .
When you click on add to cart from latest or featured on home page, the 'Success' coloured box that shows up is a Pale Yellow with an 'Exclamation mark' symbol which is for 'Attention' I think & should it not be a Green bar with a 'Tick' symbol? The code of the above instances in the common.js is

Code: Select all

 if (json['success']) {
                $('#menu').after('<div class="attention" style="display: none;">' + json['success'] + '<img src="catalog/view/theme/default/image/close.png" alt="" class="close" /></div>');

                $('.attention').fadeIn('slow');
Should both the 'attention' not be 'success' as this has worked when ive tried it.

Also, the same thing happens when clicking add to cart, add to wish list or add to compare from a product page (even when logged in for the wish list) ;)

Mail files do seem to be missing from the folders in SVN r271 as well & the same error occurs from within admin->sales->returns, when clicking 'Add history' when 'notify customer' box is checked.

Also, I have the 'Order Status' in Admin set to 'Processing' but when I log in as a customer & complete checkout, the order is showing in Admin as 'Complete' instead of 'Processing

Using SVN r.271
Get the following error when trying to delete any of the 'Return Actions' from Admin->System->Localisation->Returns->Actions

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined method ModelSaleReturn::getTotalReturnProductsByActionId() in admin/controller/localisation/return_action.php on line 364
& this error when trying to delete any of the 'Return Reasons' from Admin->System->Localisation->Returns->Reasons

Code: Select all

Fatal error: Call to undefined method ModelSaleReturn::getTotalReturnProductsByReasonId() in admin/controller/localisation/return_reason.php on line 364
No problems adding new reasons or actions ;)

Using r.271
Trying out the gift voucher system & have purchased one as a customer which then shows as 'Activated' in admin & if I click on the Sales->Gift Vouchers->Gift Vouchers then on 'Edit' & 'Voucher History', this error is showing

Code: Select all

Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'order o ON (vh.order_id = o.order_id) WHERE vh.voucher_id = '1' ORDER BY vh.date' at line 1
Error No: 1064
SELECT vh.order_id, CONCAT(o.firstname, ' ', o.lastname) AS customer, vh.amount, vh.date_added FROM voucher_history vh LEFT JOIN order o ON (vh.order_id = o.order_id) WHERE vh.voucher_id = '1' ORDER BY vh.date_added ASC LIMIT 0,10
On another note about the Voucher, it may be me being blind, but having opened another account as the 'Recipient' of the voucher, I cant find anywhere within my account in which to put the code to activate it (got the code from in admin), unless this is in the email that the receiver of the voucher (me) should receive once the 'mail' file problems are sorted out ;)

For some reason, the discount code and gift voucher entry is in the shopping cart page not on the checkout page! If you go to the shopping cart you can apply the gift voucher and when you go through the checkout it is on the confirmation page so it is working, it's just the checkout now seems to be split across two pages.

Obviously no idea why but hopefuly it's in hand....? Perhaps the checkout links need removing to force people to the shopping cart before they head to the checkout?

Thx for that & I now know where that part is ;) but it still does not work for some reason so I deleted all orders, vouchers, customers & started again.
Logged in as one customer, purchased a voucher that showed in admin as complete, logged out & then logged in as a new customer (the recipient of the voucher) & added the code but get an error showing 'Error: Gift Voucher is either invalid or the balance has been used up!'
So i buy a voucher using this account then log out then log back in to the other & same thing with a different voucher code ???
If I manually add a voucher through admin & then enter the code, it works fine :-\
