Just starting to work with OpenCart and wondering if anyone has utilized Accurate Tax for a sales tax option?

It is an add-on module for shopping carts to calculate tax by zip code. http://www.accuratetax.com/

But opencart already handles correct sales tax, based on location. i.e geo zone.

The only thing you need do is make sure you set up the correct state taxes based on your state, or your correct taxes based on your european country.

Another plugin to handle this is pointless. Opencart does all this on its own,

Actually, the geozones in OpenCart do not adequately address the taxing jurisdictions in most of the US. Some states do in fact have single rates, others have county-level breakdowns, and still others have county/city/special districts, etc. Most of the states do not have nice and neat boundary data, so even a 5-digit zipcode isn't truly sufficient to get you to the correct rate.

AccurateTax has developed a module that integrates with this cart now. http://www.accuratetax.com/carts/opencart to learn more. Or you can contact me directly at pete@accuratetax.com or call our office 866.400.2444 to discuss.

Best regards,
Pete
