Showing/linking manufacturer ???

Have added austpost shipping mod, low stock email, OC export import and Eway payment mod.

How do I add the manufacturer to the product page. It doesn't show. What is the process or is there something wrong with my install?

Also have one manufacturer. How do I link to products? Is there an easy way? I'm only a novice but thought there'd just be a simple thing like a drop down box on the add product page listing the manufacturers in the db so you could just select from there...
I've read posts on the forum about disabling seo keywords but they don't seem t make a lot of sense.
