Hello all, I made a secondary template for my site and uploaded it in the same folder as the "default" template and it was named "raining and ok".

When I logged into the admin to change the template; it did show up but when i highlight the new "raining and ok" template nothing changes!

I tried refreshing my browser (safari) and even trying it in firefox, and nothing...

I deleted the default template and renamed "raining and ok" to "default" and it worked.

What the hey? Anyone else have this problem?

Hmm good point, i was trying to edit the main shopping template, maybe the template you change in the admin settings changes the admin template?

to change your catalog/shop template, you want to edit or create a new template under

\catalog\template\

then in the admin tool, choose the "shop" tab and change the template.

remember if you copy yhe default template folder to make a new folder

you have to edit the layout.tpl

                                                                                  _____
^- to what the new folder is or it uses the same css file...

good luck

I could do with also writing some developer guides for extensions and templates.

sorry, go to admin -> configuration -> settings.
then on this page, choose the "shop" tab.

Sorry  :D I was looking for a tab different than the current one  ::). In the tab I've found the combo box with the template setting. Thank you.
